Daily Deal Site Favorites

If you're a regular Centsible Couponer reader, you're already saving money on groceries and household items by pairing available coupons with sales at your local grocery and drug stores.  You've probably also saved money with online sales by using coupon codes.  And hopefully, you've taken advantage of daily deal sites to save money on clothing, shoes, jewelry, furniture, photo prints, gifts, toys, etc, etc, etc. . . (you get the idea)!

What?  You haven't tried daily deal sites?  If you haven't taken the plunge because you don't know how they work, here's what you need to know to start saving today:
  1. These sites typically offer 1-3 deals per day (although they may run for a few days depending on the site) at a great discount, typically 50-90%
  2. Many of the deals are local, but they also offer online deals anyone can use.
  3. Once you buy the deal, you'll receive a voucher towards your purchase at different companies
Here are some recommended daily deal sites:
Groupon has lots of cities listed on its site and is probably one of the more recognized daily deal sites.  They offer both local deals and some fantastic national offers as well. When you sign up, register for the city closest to you and you'll receive emails with those local offers.  And when a great national deal is available, I'll post those offers.

Zulily focuses on selling items for moms, babies and kids at a discount.  They've have also started offering daily deals where you can purchase one item or a voucher to use like credit at a huge discount.

Eversave also offers a new deal every day PLUS they continue to offer that deal for the next two days (unless the offer sells out). So there are always three offers you can choose from and almost all of their deals are online and available to everyone.  You'll also get a $2 sign up bonus.

Living Social offers deals by city but also has national offers available.  You'll get a $5 credit for signing up.

Tippr offers 2-3 deals per day and most of them are local deals.  However, they occasionally have some great online offers like great movie ticket 4-packs.  You'll get a $5 bonus just for signing up!

Moolala is newer site that offers national deals anyone can use.  Plus, you can earn money (not credit) for the purchases your friends and their friends make!

Buy With Me is also a newer site with a limited number of cities listed so far, but online national deals are available from time to time.

Getting a group discount is easy when (for example) you're taking 15 people ice skating, but getting that same price for 2 is nearly impossible.  Daily deal sites allow you to realize 'group discount' pricing without your having to find 14 other people to take along with you.  The internet site does all the work. When others buy the same deal, each recognizes the savings individually.
